What we do
The right repair starts with the right part. But identifying genuine OEM components across dozens of brands traditionally meant a shelf of dealer tools, per-brand logins, and desktop software locked to one PC. VINsearch replaces all of that with a single browser-based platform.
For supported vehicles, VINsearch uses the VIN to identify the build and surface genuine part numbers, exploded diagrams, quantities and supersession chains from manufacturer EPC data. Check model year and market availability in the catalog before ordering.

How we work
VINsearch is an independent access platform. EPC data and trademarks belong to their respective manufacturers; we make that data usable online, worldwide, under one flat subscription with no per-search fees.
VINsearch is not a vehicle-history service: it does not report accidents, mileage, theft or title records. What it identifies is the factory build and the genuine OEM parts for a VIN.

How we source and verify catalog data
Every part number, diagram and supersession on the platform comes from the manufacturers' own Electronic Parts Catalog systems, such as ETKA for the Volkswagen Group, ETK for BMW, Microcat for Ford and Nissan, and Snap-on EPC for Hyundai, Kia and Genesis. We do not retype, scrape or reconstruct catalog data, because a copied catalog drifts out of date and can introduce errors. Reading the official source is the only way to keep new-model VINs resolving and supersession chains current.
ISO 3779 defines the content and structure of a VIN. For supported vehicles, use the VIN to select the manufacturer’s vehicle record. Check the returned vehicle details and each part’s application notes before ordering; reading the VIN structure alone does not confirm fitment.

We make claims we can stand behind: comparisons against other platforms are based on what each tool actually does, with real brand counts, and we say plainly when a competitor is the better choice. We do not invent authors, reviews or statistics. Where a fact rests on an external standard or authority, we cite it.
